About Us

Established in 1987

Jerry Berndt started Discover Diving Dive Center in his garage. He was a diver and wanted to start selling dive and snorkel gear to others. Once he became too busy for his garage, he needed a place to move to and A dive shop was born. Jerry moved his inventory and was able to get instructors to now teach and make more certified divers. In 2011, Jerry retired and sold Discover Diving Dive Center to Michele Reed. She was certified by Discover Diving and loved it so much, she decided to take the business over. Michele's passion and love for diving is why she wanted to be in this business. She loved seeing faces light up when students would take their first breaths underwater. Her passion spills out to the instructors, who teach the classes and the interns who help work in the store. Here at Discover Diving Dive Center, we hope you love our staff, trust our instructors and feel good about our recommendations. We believe in the products we sell and in the standards we use, that makes us a PADI 5 Star Dive Center.
